The plan focuses on building excitement around the new leadership, clearly communicating the director's role in advancing our technology initiatives, and facilitating meaningful connections between the new director and key stakeholders. Our approach emphasizes transparency, two-way communication, and a structured onboarding experience.

  • Context: A new director is joining to lead the Learning Technology teams, who managing SharePoint, our LMS, and other learning technologies

  • Audience: 400 department employees, including direct reports on the Learning Technology teams

  • Leadership Structure: New director will report to the VP and work alongside three existing directors

  • New Director Profile: External hire with relevant industry experience who has previously collaborated with current management

  • Key Strengths: Brings fresh perspective and extensive experience to help advance our technology initiatives

Plan Objectives

  • Introduce the new Learning Technology Director in a way that builds credibility and excitement
